Local 484 hosts Bakery & Laundry Conference

More than 100 delegates representing Bakery and Laundry Locals from the U.S. and Canada met in San Francisco in July for five days of meetings to network, share ideas and lend support to each other. "These annual meetings always pay off for our members," said Local 484 Recording Secretary John Bottali. "We get better contracts when we know how large employers have dealt with negotiations in other cities, and it always helps to renew the commitment of other Locals to extend picket lines when necessary."

International Vice Presidents Chuck Mack, Randy Cammack and Jim Santangelo addressed the delegates, as did San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.
